If you loved Bruce Willis in Die Hard and its sequels, you will love him in RED, which, if not based on a comic book by the same name, could have been titled Die Hard with Friends...
RED is a fluffy fun film that showcases violence in a way that is tolerable, pokes fun with good timing, and most of all, features a cast that is delightful to watch. The story somehow holds ground, as much as fantasy spy story can go, the pacing is mostly steady and, all in all, the movie has decent entertainment value. Watch it with little expectations, don’t sit by people who bring their 2 year old and 4 year old to see a PG-13 rated film, and you’ll do just fine. P.S. special kudos to John Malkovich who is much fun to watch.
